My first sense of the place from this field recording is that its in a busy town centre surrounded by restaurants and bars, I think this because of the background sounds of music and people chatting and laughing often.

Throughout the whole recording there is a robotic type voice repeating the same sentence there could be many sources of this voice, at first i thought it could be someone speaking through a megaphone like a protest due to the low quality sound of the voice like it was recorded though a piezo microphone. the protest part would make sense as at 1:53 you can hear someone speaking loudly as if they are calling for something or someone. The other idea of this constant voice throughout I thought could be a children’s mary-go-round type machine when you put a coin in and it spins and plays music or a sound as the sound is never changing like its a recorded loop.

Think this was recorded with a stationary microphone as there is no movement heard as in the loudness from getting closer or further from the sound sources.
