Analog
Analog to me is my favourite way for my practice as when I think of analog I think tape recorders, circuit bent and vintage semi modular synths. All sound devices that can be modulated and changed with physical touch.
Frequencies
Frequencies are the whole sound or base of sound its self. I find it interesting how creating notes with frequencies in way can create a mood or a feeling of discomfort or comfort.
Ambient
When I think of ambient I think background noise or everyday sounds we block out. But it could also mean calm and spacious like a lot of ambient music these days can consist of slow melodic piano. everyday we hear these ambient noises e.g. the hum of a radiator or fan. Ive started sampling these and using them in my practice. I would eq them and pull out the hidden notes in these sounds to create chords. there’s music and emotion in everyday ambient sounds.
